Linda Brown (country)
Singer/songwriter Linda Brown was born in Hay River, in Canada's "Far North", and as a two-year old relocated to Kingston, Ontario, with her family. She began her singing career at 13 years of age and by the early 1970's she became only the second artist signed by A&M Records (Canada) in their launch of a "country" roster (Ian Tyson had been signed earlier). Under the management guidance of Joe Palaschuk, Linda Brown recorded a debut album "Sing-A-Long With Me" (A&M-SP-9012) in 1973. Linda Brown dropped from the music scene for a lengthy period, re-surfacing in the mid-90's with singing partner (and new husband) Scotty Wells.
