Jake & The Blue Midnights provide good ballroom dance music swingin' on in from Toronto. The band captures the original sound of swing and jump blues epitomized by Louis Jordan, T-Bone Walker, Louis Prima and Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson. Consummate musicianship and youthful energy brings the swing out of the past and into the present. The razzy horn section works hard throughout this accomplished disc and recent band credits include being nominated for a Maple Blues Award.
