FOG Blues & Brass Band
Kitchener, Ontario
FOG Blues & Brass Band is based in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 2015, Fog consists of Hilliard Walter (vocals), Bobby Becker (keyboards), Al Hosack (bass), Pat Furlong (drums), Dan Jancar (saxophones) and Tim Palser (guitars). Bobby Becker was a founding member of the late 60’s band Yukon, produced by The Funk Brothers for the Sussex label. Al Hosack, native of London, Ontario was formerly of the JUNO nominated and CASBY award-winning band, Michaele Jordana and the Poles. FOG entered their song “Backwoods” into a song writing competition with INDI.com. Surprisingly, Backwoods quickly gained over 1.7 million Buzz points, so it was clear the band needed to get into the studio! Working with Juno-award winning Engineer/Producer John ‘Beetle’ Bailey, they were able to craft an energetic, horn-infused album. FOG also enlisted famed writer / performer Don Breithaupt (Monkey House, Breithaupt Brothers) to do the horn arrangements. The end result, with a nod to the genre’s Pioneers, is a classic Blues / R&B infused sound! - FOG Blues & Brass Band
