Aerial (pop rock)
Aerial was a pop and rock band from Toronto, active during the 1970s. The band was originally called Liverpool, a Beatles tribute act launched in 1973 with Brian Miessner on bass and lead vocals, Laurie Currie on vocals and drums, David Moyles on guitar, and Rick Pearson on vocals and guitar. This original lineup played the first-ever Beatles Festival The Fest for Beatles Fans in New York City in 1974 and, that same year, played the famed Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles. As Liverpool, two songs made the Canadian national charts: "Dolly", at #24, and "Down To Liverpool", #69, both in 1976. For their first album release, In The Middle Of The Night, Aerial were signed to Capitol Records in the U.S., and Toronto's Anthem Records.
